Zhao Jianguo
Zhao Jianguo was born in Wuqiao, Hebei province. Holding a master’s degree, he once was a political teacher and the director of CYL Committee in Beijing No.40 Middle School then he took charged for a school-run factory.

- In 1982, Mr. Zhao resigned and got in business
- In 1984, Jianguo Wooden Vessel Factory was founded.
- In 1991, Jimei Sofa Factory was founded, and then Wukesong Jimei Furniture City was also founded.
- In 2000, Jimei set up a furniture production base in Daxing District, meanwhile the business area of Wukesong Jimei Furniture City expanded to 60,000 sq.m.. The mall selling both furniture and building materials operated successfully, which formed the model of one-stop service and business.
- In 2001, because of the conversion of land during Olympics, Wukesong Jimei Furniture & Building Materials City was removed, and a new Jimei mall was built in Dinghui Bridge.
- In 2002, Jimei set up subsidiary companies, such as Jimei Decoration Company and Meijing Advertisement Company and so on.
- In 2004, Jimei engaged in transformation of State-Owned Enterprises, and set up Dahongmen Jimei Furnishings World which deals in furniture, building materials, decoration, ornaments, design and construction, oil painting, Express Hotel and so on. This lays a solid foundation for Jimei to operate in a “one-stop shopping” manner. At the same time, Jimei Furnishings purchased Thunder Building Materials Company, an action that preserved enough strength.
- In December, 2007, Jimei Langfang store opened, marking Jimei’s first step into out-of-town areas. Soon it took the leading place in Langfang.
- Jimei has a total area of 500,000 square meters including Dinghui Bridge Jimei and Langfang Jimei.
- In 2008, Jimei Tianjin Jinlan project was formally signed. Currently around Bohai, the economic center, 150,000 sq. m. of commercial stores is being constructed. It’s estimated that the project will be finished by May 2010.
- Not only domestically, Jimei Furnishings Enterprises Group makes the first attempt to the world. French project of Jimei Furnishings "Jimei International Furnishings & Building Materials Exchange Center" will be set up in Paris which aimed at building a furniture & building materials export base in Europe. It is therefore more convincement for circulation overseas. At present, French project is under the way and will be built in the central area of this European economy. We believe that such a furnishings & building materials circulation base will further facilitate trade in Europe.
